The universal African ‘language’ is football, which encompasses goals and saves as well as respect, discipline, team work and fair play.
These are all attributes that we should all display in everyday life to ensure we reach our enormous potential as a continent.
The beautiful and symbolic trophy that will be on offer for the teams embodies what this competition is all about.
The lines represent the movement and skill of the players on the pitch, while the ball represents the sports’ world globe, highlighting our African continent. The trophy is iconic and representative of the 3 phases of the tournament..
The base of the trophy has 3 steps which represent the 3 incremental stages of the tournament – national, Zonal – and then the Continental showpiece Final which will deliver our 2022/2023 inaugural champions.
The ink quill is there to symbolise schools, education, and the importance of academics to shaping our future leaders.
The colours of the trophy are gold and silver, symbolic of Africa’s rich and natural mineral wealth, while verdant green references CAF – the parent body of football on our continent
Most importantly, the sky bound ribbon represents an upwards and sky bound trajectory reflective of the dreams, hopes and aspirations of young boys and girls in Africa.
